Signing in
How the Administrator and staff sign in, and how sessions work.
The sign-in page serves two kinds of account. First you choose which kind you have.
Who can do this: everyone with an account.
Administrator or staff#
- Administrator (Owner · Full access). The person who created the account. You sign in with your email address and password only.
- Staff (Staff & operations). Everyone the Administrator invited. When you choose Staff, a Business alias field appears. The alias is the short name chosen when the business signed up. You need it every time you sign in. If you do not know it, ask your Administrator.
Steps#
- Choose Administrator or Staff.
- If you chose Staff, enter the Business alias.
- Enter your Email address and Password.
- Press Sign in.
How sessions work#
- Each device has its own session. Signing in on a second device does not sign out the first.
- Logout (in the menu under your name) signs out only the device you are using.
- Your session renews itself while you work. If it does run out, you see the sign-in page with "Your session expired. Please sign in again." Sign in and carry on.
- Changing or resetting your password signs you out on every device. See Passwords & security.
- If you are already signed in and open the sign-in page, SellerTower takes you to your dashboard.
When sign-in fails#
If the email or the password is wrong, you see one message for both. The page does not say which one is wrong. This protects your account. For every message and what to do, see Troubleshooting sign-in.
