Products & inventory: start here

Products and inventory are two different things in SellerTower, and knowing which one you need saves a lot of hunting.

A product lives in the catalogue and belongs to your whole business: its name, SKU, barcode, price, tax settings, images. Inventory is that product's stock in one store: how many you have, in which batches, and what happens when it runs low.

Adding a product does not put it on a shelf. Linking it to a store — with a quantity — does.

Going to the catalogue#

You want the Products section when the question is about what you sell:

• Creating a product and the full fields reference
• Product types — standard, serialized, composite, pre-order, customized
• Categories and images
• Bulk edit and CSV import

Going to the stock#

You want the Inventory section when the question is about how many you have:

• How inventory works — the model, properly
• Linking products to stores
• Adjusting stock and batches & expiry
• Low stock, quarantine, and stock history
• Labels & printing
