Dine-in & tables

Dine-in orders are served at tables. You set up the store's tables once, seat each order at a table, and the table frees itself when the meal is settled.

Who can do this:

Before you start#

• Your plan must include fulfilment types. Without them, Table management is not shown.
• The store must have dine-in or takeaway switched on in its fulfilment settings. Otherwise the page says "Tables are not enabled for this store".

Add a table#

1. Open Orders → Table management.
2. Press Add table.
3. Enter a Table name (for example T1 or Patio 3; it must be unique in this store) and its Capacity.
4. Press Save table.

The page explains itself: "The dine-in tables of this store. A table can seat several orders and frees itself when the last one completes." Two couples who pay separately are two orders at one table.

Seat an order#

• At checkout: choose Dine-In (or Takeaway) under Fulfillment details and pick a table in Table (optional). Choose No table, assign later to seat the order afterwards.
• Later: open the row menu of the order on the orders list or on the fulfilment board and choose Assign table (or Change table). Pick the table and press Save table. Each choice shows the table's seats and how many orders already sit there.

Moving a party to another table does not change what they ordered. That is why a table can still be changed after the order is locked for edits.

Served, then settled#

Dine-in has one more step than the other types:

Pending → Processing → Served → Completed

Served means the food is on the table and the kitchen is done, but the bill is not settled. The order completes when the party pays. Completing the order frees the table. Cancelling it frees the table too. The dine-in Service charge, if the store sets one, is already in the total.
