Stores
Creating and editing stores, the store switcher, and working across all stores.
A store is a place where you sell. Orders, invoices, returns, refunds and stock belong to one store. The catalogue, customers, discounts and staff belong to the whole business, and every store shares them. Signup creates your first store for you.
Who can do this:
- Anyone whose role can view stores sees the Stores page.
- Creating, editing, disabling and enabling a store are for the Administrator only. No role can give these to staff, because they use seats the business pays for.
- Deleting a store needs the store delete permission. See Store statuses & deletion.
Creating a store#
- In the sidebar, open Stores.
- Press Create store. A box may open first to tell you what the store costs:
- If you have a free seat, the store uses it and there is no charge. Press Continue.
- If you have no free seat, press Buy a seat. After you buy it, the store form opens.
- On a plan that sells no extra seats, the button offers an upgrade instead.
- Fill in the form. Only Store name is required.
- Press Create.

Fields#

| Store number | A 3-digit number, different for each store. Leave it empty and SellerTower chooses one. If you type your own, it must be exactly 3 digits and not used by another store. |
| Store currency | Shown but locked. Every store uses the currency of your business's country. See Business profile. |
| Street address, City, Country, Zip/Postal code | The store's address. |
| Location | Optional. Press Select on map, click the map to drop a pin on the store's exact place, then press Confirm location. |
Editing a store#
- On Stores, open the row's menu and choose Edit store. (On a phone, swipe the row to the left, or press and hold it.)
- Change the details and press Save.
Clicking a row opens the store read-only.
The row menu also has Fulfillment settings, where you set up how the store fulfils orders. Available on Solo and above See Fulfilment status & types.
The store switcher and All Stores#
The store switcher at the top of the app decides which store you are working in. Every list, form and report follows it.
If you have more than one store, the switcher also offers All Stores. This is a combined view, not a real store. You can look at records across all stores, but you cannot create anything there. To create an order, a stock change or an invoice, choose one store first.
- Staff who are limited to certain stores see only those stores. They never see All Stores.
- Disabled, archived and deleting stores are hidden from the switcher. If the store you are on becomes one of these, it stays in the list with a note after its name, such as "(disabled)", and a warning so you know what you are looking at.
Troubleshooting#
