The home dashboard

Home is the operational cockpit: what needs your attention now, and how the period is going. Each widget appears only for staff whose role can see its data.

Two clocks on one page#

The single most useful thing to know: Home mixes two kinds of numbers on purpose.

• Windowed numbers follow the date picker — orders raised, net sales, the charts. Change the range, they change.
• Snapshot numbers describe the business right now — Low stock items and Expiring products ignore the date picker entirely, because "what needs restocking" is a question about today. The page marks them: "Low stock now", "Current state".

The six operational tiles show both at once — a range-scoped count over the all-time total, with the hint "In the selected dates, over the all-time total."

What the pieces are#

• The tile grid — pending orders waiting for acceptance, orders in progress, returns and refunds in progress, low stock, expiring stock. Each tile links to the working page that clears it. (Under "All Stores" the grid steps aside — its target pages are per-store.)
• Orders over time — every order placed in the window, grouped by where it ended up: completed, processing, pending, cancelled. This chart is deliberately open on every plan.
• The performance band — gross sales, transactions, average sale and the net-sales comparison chart, each with a change-vs-prior-period pill. This band is what an analytics plan unlocks; below it, it shows blurred with an upgrade note.

Every number is computed live when the page asks — there is no overnight batch to wait for.
