Opening any figure to see the records behind it.

Nearly every figure in analytics opens. A KPI card leads to that metric's own detail view — the headline restated, its trend where one exists, its breakdowns, and at the bottom the records behind the number: Net sales ends in the actual completed orders whose takings make up the figure. Drill-down depth is the top analytics grade — the badge above names where it starts.
How drilling behaves#
- The date range travels with you. Every drill-down link carries the window (and the comparison, if on), so the child page shows the same period — no re-picking, no silent reset.
- Breakdown rows drill where a real filter exists. Clicking a payment-method slice opens the completed orders paid that way — including orders only partly paid that way. A row stays unclickable where the server has no such filter to offer — shown, not faked.
- A store row narrows the whole view. In a breakdown by store, clicking a store scopes everything to it — which can also reveal money an All-Stores view withheld, since one store is never mixed-currency.
- Entity reports: in Performance, a ranked product, category, customer or store row opens that entity's own report page — its sales, units and orders over the window. Product and customer reports are business-wide; the synthetic "Guest" row has no report to open.
Reading an entity report honestly#
The product report's figures carry one deliberate asymmetry, stated in its own caveat: "Sales and units are net of returns. The order count is not, because an order that was later returned still happened."
