The one account that owns the business, and what only that account can do.
Every business has exactly one Administrator. This is the account that signed up, owns the subscription and pays the bill. The Administrator is not a staff member. They are not in the staff list, they have no role, and they never use a staff seat. In records such as the activity log, their actions show as "Administrator".
Who can do this: this page explains the account. Everyone can read it.
Roles do not apply. Roles decide what staff can do. The Administrator can always do everything. No role can make a staff member an Administrator.
Some actions are for the Administrator only, whatever roles a staff member has:
These actions use or manage what the business pays for, so no role can give them to staff.
Access always works. Even when a payment problem has made the account read-only, the Administrator can still open Billing and pay.
The Administrator account is created once, at signup. You cannot create a second one. You also cannot hand the business over to a different owner from inside the app. The Administrator can change their own name in User settings, but the account itself stays the same.
