Business settings
Business identity, and the danger zone.
Business settings (sidebar user menu) is the company's own record. It is the Administrator's page — staff see the read-only Business profile instead, never this one.
What can change — and what can't#
Two fields are editable: the business name (shown everywhere, including your public storefront) and the description. Everything else on the page is a fact, not a setting:
- Alias — your unique identifier, with a copy chip (the value you paste into storefront and POS setup). It never changes and cannot be regenerated.
- Country — with the hint that says why it's locked: "Fixed at signup. Your prices and billing currency follow it." See Business profile.
There are no business-level tax or currency settings to look for here: tax lives on each product, currency follows the country.
The danger zone#
Delete business is the end of everything — the modal says it without softening: "This action cannot be undone. This will permanently delete your business and remove all data from our servers." It requires typing DELETE to enable the button, and on success you are signed out of a business that no longer exists.
