Cancelling & moving to Free
Exactly what you keep, what is switched off, and when.
In SellerTower, cancelling your subscription and moving to the Free plan are the same thing — Free is where an account without a paid plan lives. Nothing about cancelling deletes your business.
Who can do this: the Administrator, from Billing → Cancel subscription (or the Free card on the plan picker).
Scheduling the move#
Cancelling is scheduled for the end of the period you have already paid — you keep your paid plan until then. The confirmation dialog spells out the consequences before you agree, and if you run more than one store it asks the one question that matters: which store you keep, since Free includes one.
Until the date arrives, a banner reminds you — "You're switching to the free plan" — with three honest outs: Never mind, keep my plan, Change which store I keep, and Leave now instead.
What actually happens on the day#
- Your plan becomes Free; billing stops.
- Stores beyond the one you kept, and staff beyond Free's included seats, are switched off, not deleted: "they stop taking orders but keep their history, and you can switch them back on when a plan covers them again." Switched-off staff "cannot sign in until a plan covers their seat. Nobody is deleted."
- Invitations that no seat could cover are cancelled.
- Bought seats end with the subscription.
Return to any paid plan later and everything switched off can be switched back on.
Leaving immediately#
Leave now instead runs the same reduction today. One difference, stated plainly in the dialog: "You are not refunded for the rest of the period you have already paid for."
