Quick start: your first sale

This page takes a new account to its first order. Each step links to a full page on the subject.

Who can do this: the Administrator (the person who created the account).

Before you start: you need a SellerTower account. See Creating your account. Signup already created your first store, so you can start at step 1.

1. Add a product#

1. In the sidebar, open Products, then Manage products.
2. Press Add product.
3. Enter the Product name and a price. You can leave most other fields for later. If you leave the SKU empty, SellerTower creates one for you.
4. Press Save product.

The product is now in your catalogue. But no store has it in stock yet. The next step fixes that. To learn why these are two steps, see How inventory works.

2. Put it in stock#

1. Make sure the store switcher at the top shows your store.
2. In the sidebar, open Inventory, then Link products.
3. Open the Unlinked tab and find your product.
4. Press Link Product, then press Enable selected. The product is now linked to your store, with a stock of zero.
5. In the sidebar, open Inventory, then Inventory management.
6. Press Add inventory. Choose your product, enter how many you have, and press Save stock intake.

3. Take the order#

1. In the sidebar, open Orders, then Manage orders.
2. Press Create order.
3. Add your product to the cart.
4. Choose how the customer is paying.
5. Press Place order.

The server works out the prices, discounts and tax. The total on the screen is the total that is saved.

4. Check the result#

• The order appears in Manage orders, with its order, payment and fulfilment status.
• The product's stock in your store goes down.
• The home dashboard includes the new order.
