Stock history
The audit trail of every stock movement.
Available on Startup and above
Every stock movement — a sale, an intake, an adjustment, a hold — writes a line to an append-only ledger, in the same stroke as the movement itself. There is no way to move stock without leaving the line, and no way to edit or delete one.
Who can do this: anyone who can view inventory. Reading the history is also a plan capability — the badge above says where it starts — and your plan sets how far back it reaches.
Reading the history#
Each product's stock page has an Activity history view with two readings of the same ledger:
- Chart view — the stock-on-hand level over time, with each movement a point on the line, and summary tiles for the range (current, peak, minimum, average).
- Table view — one row per movement: the direction and amount (in the product's own unit), the reason, and who performed it. Where an order moved the stock, the reason names the order.
The rows include movements no one typed: sales, order cancellations restoring stock, quarantine holds and releases — the system's own actions are journaled exactly like yours.
History and the activity log are different ledgers#
The staff activity log answers "who did what" across the whole business; stock history answers "what happened to this product's stock, and how much". Quantities live here; the activity log deliberately records the action but never the amount. For stock questions, this is the ledger to trust.
